March 12th - Wednesday | Full Day Session (8:00 AM CST - 5:00 PM CST)

This 8-hour hands-on class, led by Donnie Sherfield, focuses on the identification, soldering, and desoldering of components within automotive ECUs, specifically immobilizer modules. Soldering equipment will be provided for each student to use during the class.

This course will introduce students to EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) identification and the use of real-world equipment to acquire, read, modify, and reprogram these memory devices. The EEPROM portion begins with simple in-circuit examples of reading EEPROMs, progressing to removing EEPROMs from circuits, reading them with various tools, and modifying the data. Students will work in pairs, using laptops, VVDI Prog, Tango, and identical modules to follow along with the instructor to complete tasks in real-time. Modules covered include, but are not limited to, Toyota ECU, Saab CIM, Volvo Blue/Black Box, EWS3, EWS4, and Mercedes EIS.

Your registration in this class also includes lunch for the students attending.
